Jump4Life – Privacy Statement


This is the privacy statement of Stichting Kite4Life (Foundation) “Kite4Life”, organizer of the Jump4Life “J4L” event.


We process your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In this privacy statement we explain which personal data we collect for what purposes and on what basis.


We may amend this privacy statement from time to time. The most recent adjustment was made 2nd of April 2022.



Kite4Life organizes Jump4Life to raise funds and to raise awareness about the psychosocial impact of cancer on (ex) patients, children, and their families. The proceeds are used to facilitate kitesurfing clinics for them.


Kite4Life is the administrator within the meaning of the GDPR for the processing of personal data in the context of J4L, as described below.


Purposes of processing personal data


Participation in Jump4Life

A participant registers on  Your name, surname, telephone number, and e-mail address will be used to process the registration, allow you to participate in Jump4Life and inform you in the run-up to the event. The basis is implementation of the participation agreement.


The use of any GPS height and distance measuring device, app or other tool is allowed for your participation to Jump4Life. Examples are PIQ, Woo, Surfr, Garmin, Polar and iWatch.


After each session synchronize your performance data on your tracking tool. Upload your data on

This data is then processed in your “Personal Total” and also in a “Grand Total” document. A summary of the “Grand Total” is presented weekly on and on Instagram.



Kite4Life processes data, such as name, surname, e-mail address and sponsor amount.

Payment details, in order to process donations and to send donation receipts if needed, will be communicated separately by email between the sponsor and Kite4Life.


Collecting sponsorship money is the responsibility of Kite4Life.


Adding new sponsors is possible until the last game day (May 31, 2022). After this date, Kite4Life will make a payment request to the participant via PayPal, Mollie Payments or Tikkie.

Kite4Life keeps the participants informed of the event via social media and email, unless you have indicated that you do not wish to receive updates. The basis for this is the legitimate marketing interest of Kite4Life.

Your rights

You can request Kite4Life to delete your personal data when the personal data are not relevant to the purpose for which they were collected, when consent has been withdrawn, when you object to a processing of personal data based on a legitimate interest or when the processing of personal data is unlawful.


Restriction of Processing

You can request Kite4Life to limit the processing of your personal data by temporarily only storing it and not processing it further if the accuracy of the personal data is disputed, the processing of personal data is unlawful, but you do not wish to be deleted, or if you are awaiting the response to a request to exercise the right on objection.


To object

You can make a complaint to Kite4Life in those cases that the data processing is based on the representation of the legitimate interest of Kite4Life or a third party. If you do not wish to receive e-mails or other communication from us, we ask you to inform us by means of a short message.

You can request Kite4Life to withdraw a consent once given.

You can submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority if you believe that Kite4Life is infringing the protection of your personal data.






We have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss or any form of unlawful processing. For example, data connections are secured and Kite4Life uses access control.


Provision to third parties

Kite4Life may use the services of third parties to process your data in accordance with this Privacy Statement. These third parties act as processor for Kite4Life and we ensure that these parties offer sufficient guarantees with regard to the security measures and the careful and lawful processing of the personal data. Third parties that act as processor for Kite4Life have concluded a processor agreement with Kite4Life which includes, among other things, that they will only process personal data on behalf of Kite4Life. An example of a processor is the developer and technical administrator of the Kite4Life Foundation Website.


When you make a donation, the payment details will be processed by the payment service provider.


For the rest, Kite4Life only provides data to third parties with your prior consent or if we are obliged to do so on the basis of laws and regulations, we are forced to do so as a result of a lawsuit and / or in the event that we consider this necessary to protect our own interests or interests of third parties.


Transfer outside Europe
